[Editorial notes: Can anyone clarify on the band’s use of the definite article? I’ve seen them listed with and without the “the” before.]

  1. I’m pretty confident they used the definite article. Interesting Watchmen fact: In the late 90s singer Danny Greaves moved in with his girlfriend in the building next to my parents’ house McMillan Ave. in Winnipeg. When they later moved out, we inherited his computer desk.

    Saw a great double-bill of The Watchmen and Headstones (definite article?) at th Red River Ex one year.

  2. I thought you might have had an informed opinion on this, way way or another.

    (the) headstones are another one of those 90s cdn bands that played with the article. the only one i’m certain about, really, is Odds, because I know they were once The Odds, and then decided to just bee Odds instead. Simple enough – you can’t go wrong either way.

    (Odds are in the cancon queue, incidentally.)
